Friday 16th October saw Pirinoa School host our annual Pet Day — always a highlight on the school and community calendar!
The weather certainly kept us on our toes. While we managed to avoid the rain, it was a bitterly cold day for our students, families and animals!
This year, two-thirds of our school brought animals along to compete, making for a fantastic day of fun, learning and a little bit of friendly competition. We had a wonderful range of animals taking part, with our students showing plenty of pride, care and enthusiasm for their pets.

A huge thank you goes to our craft and pet judges — Jocelyn, Sonya, Janine, Logan, Dave and Bryan. We really appreciate the time and expertise you shared with our students and the school.
We would also like to extend a very special thank you to our major sponsors: Andy Donaldson, Blue Pacific Minerals, Halter, Tuhirangi Rugby Club and Farmsource Featherston for their generous support. Your contribution helps us continue to make Pet Day such a special event for our school community.
Thank you to all of our students, whānau, helpers and supporters who made the day such a success. We are already looking forward to next year’s Pet Day!
