Our Pet Day is always a great day and a lovely time for the community to come together.
The auction which followed the prize giving was especially exciting. We have huge community support and donations, so there are some fantastic items up for auction. Our Year 7 & 8 students each bake a cake, and we run silent auctions for half of them, and half go into the big auction. The cake auctions are fantastic, with the community members putting in very generous bids – the top cake sold for $480 this year! The total made from cakes was $3800 which will be a huge help for our kids who head off to Rotorua in a few weeks for their 5-day camp.
