Rapid Relief session for farmers

Aug 2026

Following the recent severe weather events that have impacted South Wairarapa, a charitable organisation known as the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) warmly invites local farmers to attend a Farmers Community Connect event in Martinborough on Thursday 13 August from 11am to 1pm.

The Team aims to bring the farming community together and offer a chance to connect with neighbours, share experiences and enjoy a positive day out – with support services available. Those who attend can register their interest in receiving a donation of fencing materials which will be distributed on a first come, first served basis, at the discretion of RRT, due to limited resources.

The event will also give farmers access to a range of support services on the day, including:

  • Health services
  • Rural financial counselling
  • Veterinary support
  • A free barbecue lunch will be served on the day with barista coffee
