Madagascar ragwort has recently been found growing in southern Wairarapa. This invasive pest plant is highly toxic to livestock and can significantly reduce pasture productivity.
Greater Wellington is asking landowners and residents to keep an eye out and let them know if you’ve seen it, especially in South Wairarapa and along the coastline.
