It’s been another busy period at the Golf Club as we have seen over 70 women coming through recent lessons, three of whom are pictured here as one of the winning teams in our “New to Golf Ambrose tournament held a couple of weeks ago. Our huge thanks to the team at Moy Hall Wines for providing superb prizes for this day. We were all very impressed by the new golfers’ playing abilities – there were some seriously good team scores!
We have just announced a similar initiative for men who are taking up golf, coming back after a break, or just wanting some tips to improve. Beers & Cheers is a series of lessons held on Friday, Saturdays or Sundays (choose your timeslot to suit) to get the blokes up to the standard of the new women players!
We also have a purely social golf slot on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30. “Nine & Wine” allows people to come and play casual golf with others, no competition, just relaxed golfing fun.
Also coming up is the very popular “Beef & Burgundy” made possible by Poppies Martinborough who will be pairing their delicious Pinot Noir with a tasty beef treat for everyone, and complimenting the beef prize packs with wine to take home. Some very lucky winners will be popular when they get home!
Our kitchen is open 5 days a week for casual dining (closed Mon/Tues), Friday nights have become very popular and keep your eye out for our Sunday Roast specials over winter – last year they sold out every week!
