First Church is putting its fund-raising best foot forward with a triple dip of events catering for all Martinborough tastes.

First up: the wide-ranging and engaging First Church Winter Book Fair:

The fair is set to run over two days: Saturday 22 June (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)  and Sunday 23 June  (10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) at Martinborough Town Hall (Waihinga Centre).

Next: Martinborough Cookbook Reprint – sponsorship update:

Many thanks to those who have donated sponsorship towards the reprint of the Martinborough Cookbook. Work is proceeding well and we are in talks with the original printers, Lamb Peters, who are excited to get started on the project.

We are pleased to announce there has been a positive reaction from the community and pre-sales are going well. To those who have pledged sponsorship we look forward to receiving your donation as soon as you are able – the cut-off date is 20 July 2024.

Details for sponsorship are as follows: $100 for business and $50 for individual or family. First Church Martinborough bank account number is: ANZ Bank 01-0671- 0002488-00. Please reference “Cookbook” when making your payment. Thank you. Your name will be acknowledged under sponsorship in the new book.

For enquiries about the reprint of the Martinborough Cookbook please contact Sherryl – 0272405110 or Margaret – 0272459663.

Our aim is to launch the Cookbook reprint at our premier fundraising event at Martinborough Town Hall early in September.

The BIG one: Spring Fling – First Church Martinborough’s premier fundraising event:

Following the sell-out success of last year’s Spring Fling we look forward to offering another evening of entertainment showcasing pre-loved, top-notch condition, high end clothing, shoes, handbags, jewellery, etc.

If you have any items that meet our criteria, are surplus to requirements and you would like to donate to us we would appreciate talking to you.

For enquiries about donating items for the Spring Fling please contact Sherryl – 0272405110 or Karen – 0274209775.
