Craig Nelson

The school and the community welcome Craig Nelson to Martinborough.

Craig was originally a mainlander being bought up in Nelson but has been in the Wellington area for the last 21 years. His wife Nicki is a lecturer at Victoria University and he has two sons, Josh 10 and Toby 5, who have settled well into Martinborough school.

He has been very grateful for the welcome he has received from the community and said how approachable everyone is. The support from the businesses and organisation has impressed him.
He spoke so enthusiastically about his ambitions and hopes for the pupils at Martinborough School and is aiming to arm kids with the skill to tackle everything that comes their way and wants to make learning fun, with a focus on ascertaining what’s going to hook the kids into learning.

Talking with Craig, I was convinced that the future of our school is in very good hands.
