Martinborough Holiday Park to join Top 10

November 4, 2011 November 2011 No Comments

Lisa & Frank Cornelissen are delighted that their park, Martinborough Holiday Park, has been accepted into the TOP 10 Holiday Parks Group. They have been steadily improving the park since leasing it from South Wairarapa District Council six years ago. Martinborough TOP 10 Holiday Park now has a Qualmark 4+
quality rating and Lisa says that “we are very excited – this is the next logical step, and continues our mission to provide a quality holiday park experience in Martinborough Wine Village.”

TOP 10 is New Zealand’s premier holiday park group providing a wide range of high quality accommodation to both domestic and international guests throughout the country. For over 25 years, TOP 10 Parks have driven industry standards with all member parks exceeding rigorous internal quality and service standards.
There are over 50 fantastic TOP 10 holiday parks spread across New Zealand. Martinborough

TOP 10 will fill a gap in the network, being the only TOP 10 Park between Wellington and Hawkes Bay. John McCann, General Manager of the TOP 10 Group says “It’s a real pleasure to welcome Frank and Lisa into the TOP 10 team. We were impressed with their achievements over the last few years, but more importantly we were very excited with their plans for the future.

The TOP 10 brand is well known and highly respected by New Zealanders – parks have to be special to join the Group. TOP 10 will work with the Cornelissen’s to strengthen Martinborough TOP 10 Holiday Parks’ position as the Wairarapa’s premier holiday park, giving Kiwis and international visitors alike a top experience.”
Over the next few weeks Martinborough TOP 10 Holiday Park will be rebranded and Lisa says she is looking forward to being part of a much larger organisation, “there is a limit to how much marketing we can do on
our own. TOP 10 is one of the best recognized national brands. This offers us a range of great opportunities previously unavailable to us.”

There are also clear benefits to Martinborough and the Wairarapa of having a TOP 10 holiday park in the region. Frank believes that “joining TOP 10 will drive an increase in campervan tourism to the Wairarapa as well as broadening Martinborough’s appeal to families; the resulting increase in visitor spending is great news for the Wairarapa.
