Lifestyle Vans & Vines Rally

December 10, 2012 December 2012 No Comments

A Recreational Vehicle rally in Martinborough is being organised by the lifestyle magazine ‘RV Travel Lifestyle’. The rally will be held over the Martinborough Fair weekend of February first, second and third, 2013.

The RV owners are being invited to ‘shop til we drop’ at the Martinborough Fair on Saturday and then share a barbeque meal and charity auction on the Saturday night with music to keep all entertained into the night.

Wine tastings and live music are being arranged for Sunday along with a planned visit Te Kairanga market day and vineyard tours. Golf and bowls competitions and other entertainments are being arranged.

The visitors are encouraged to stay on for a few days after the event to explore and enjoy the many attractions the South Wairarapa has to offer.

The home base for the rally will be at the Martinborough rugby fields. Registration and parking will be organised with NZMCA volunteers. Vehicles must have a self-containment sticker and a strict no glass outside vans rule will be enforced. Those people who are not fully self-contained can camp at The Martinborough Top 10 Holiday Park and register for the rally events. Early booking is essential.

All profits from fundraising proceeds will go to the Peter Fisher Trust and Bryan Renwick. Both men are facing a considerable recovery period well into 2013. Peter’s parents Brian and Noeline Fisher, are NZMCA members from Wellington who are regular volunteers at rally’s and are well known in the NZMCA community. We look forward to assisting both of these families with Peter and Bryan’s ongoing recovery.

The organisers’ are proud to work with the Martinborough community and the N. Z. Motor Caravan Assn. on this rally and fundraising events.
