JULICHER ESTATE CELEBRATE 10 YEARS

Wim Julicher developed the land and planted Julicher’s vineyards on the Te Muna Terraces back in 1996. The soils here are free-draining alluvial gravel and rich in minerals, making it ideal for growing grapes, especially Pinot Noir.

Three years ago the Julicher Estate Pinot Noir 2008, the Champion Wine of the Show at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards. the ultimate prize in the New Zealand wine industry This award,, has opened the door to many new opportunities and they now export to over 10 countries around the world.

Julicher Estate has won numerous gold medals :
Julicher Estate Pinot Noir 2002, won a silver medal at the Bragato Wine Awards 2003.

Julicher Estate has twice won the prestigious award of Champion Wine of the Show for their Pinot Noir:
NZ International Wine Show 2007: Julicher Estate Pinot Noir 2006
Air New Zealand Wine Awards 2009: Julicher Estate Pinot Noir 2008

The quality endorsement continues and their latest award success includes 4 ½ stars to Julicher 99 Rows Pinot Noir 2010 in the Cuisine NZ Pinot Noir 2012 tasting, released last week.

As they head into their next decade, the team at Julicher Estate is committed to continue producing the finest quality wines. The passion and commitment of the team including their exceptional Finnish winemaker, Outi Jakovirta, will make this possible.
