Martinborough
The Brigade extends it’s deepest sympathy to their Chief Fire Officer on his recent loss. For the brigade Margaret has been a provider of endless practical assistance: arriving at major fires with coffee and scones, providing transport and always spotting any needs and attending to them. She will be greatly missed.

The brigade has experienced a very quiet month. Two false alarms and two car accidents neither of which had major injuries.
A vegetation fire in the town area was quickly attended to.

Featherston
So far we have had 29 calls, and all for a variety of reasons.
This month there have been 2 rubbish fires, 2 structure fires,2 vegetation fires, 3 ambulance assists and one child caller hang up. We have also been to an arson attempt on a Woodward Street house. While the latest call to was to help out with a broken down fire engine on the Rimutaka Hill.

This month we farewelled our Ex Fire Police Captain and Life Member, Merv Gain, who sadly passed away after a long illness.

The brigade is currently looking for firefighters and operational support personnel. Anyone interested in joining or just wanting to find out more call into the Fire Station and see us on a Monday night at 7pm.
