Tuhirangi came out the winners of this year’s match played at their home ground, Pirinoa. As usual it was a close game hard fought to the very end.
Martinborough scored first but Tuhirangi came back with two tries to clinch the game 10 – 8. Player of he match was Dan Phillips.

First an apology and a big thank you to Peter Hudson and his wife for their efforts in organising the Neil Smith Tournament. It was Peter who thought of the yellow balls and the handsome trophy. He also arranged for Mary to come down and present the trophy. Thanks again Peter.

Greetings readers and very best wishes for 2012.
We at the Club have had a very busy holiday season with a lot of visitors who were all impressed with our course presented to them by “Manpower”; he truly does a very good job.
Club Captain Kris Chamberlain remains at the helm and in December a Thursday was put aside to play for a trophy remembering Neil Smith who passed away 13 months ago. The trophy made by Graham Jacobson was won by an ecstatic Roger Parkinson and Mary Smith presented it to him.

This is my last write-up for the year and the club certainly has finished the year on a high note with Lisa-Marie Ireland winning the silver ladies Champion of Champions recently and now Jason van Zanten winning the men’s Champion of Champions at Karori last week.
