The First Issue


It has come somewhat to their surprise that Jasmin, David and Mike found themselves preparing this edition of the Star which marks the fifth year of production. As they say: ‘time flies when you’re having fun’.

And yes, thanks to the great support received from so many, it has been fun. Admittedly the first year was a fairly steep learning curve. In those first months Mike struggled to master a, to him, totally illogical computer (Computer 10 – Mike nil) and Jasmin burnt much Midnight Oil processing late arriving advertising copy with a looming printer’s deadline. Happily Mike’s computer is now less of a mystery and advertisers now realise that a Deadline is just that. … Continue Reading
