Martinborough Branch of Rural Women New Zealand is hosting a fundraising Fashion Show by Ballentynes Fashion Centre Masterton and our famous Dessert Buffet Supper.

This is to be held on Friday 12th July 2013, 7pm at the Martinborough Golf Club. Tickets are $20 with a cash bar and are available from:

Boutique Martinbrough winery, Julicher Estate, has won gold medals for their Pinot Noir at the two top wine shows in the UK. Julicher Estate Pinot Noir 2010 was awarded a gold medal at the 2013 Decanter World Wine Awards while sister label, Julicher 99 Rows Pinot Noir 2010, went gold at the 2013 International Wine Challenge.
 
The Decanter World Wine Awards is the world’s biggest global wine competition and is well known for its rigorous judging process. Donation-boosts-St-JohnThe Martinborough district’s ambulance service is being upgraded thanks to a donation from the Toast Martinborough wine and food festival.

The festival organisers have donated $5,000 to the service, which is managed through a partnership between St John and the Martinborough District Ambulance Trust.

“We’re very proud to acknowledge and support the community that hosts our festival,” says Rachael Fletcher, Toast Martinborough’s General Manager. “We also understand the importance of the local ambulance service, which provides a vital ‘first response’ for the community at night.” … Continue Reading
