The Martinborough Small Bore Club continues it’s run of success following on from supplying 5 members, Harrie Materman, Carol Yardley, Paul Crimp, Greg Reid and Steve White, of the Wairarapa winning Jim Hart Trophy team.
This trophy is competed among North Island teams with ten shooters from each region compete over one day with scores making up the team score. Small-bore shooting is generally a very individual sport and the fact that your score goes to make the team score adds that extra bit of pressure.

Outward Bound celebrates their 50th

Outward Bound is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year; and celebrations are planned nationwide and all are cordially invited to the Wairarapa event. This is to be held on 25 July 2012 at the Copthorne Hotel and Resort, Solway Park, Masterton from 6:30 – 9:00pm. (Tickets: $20 adults, $10 students).

Our target audience is past and potential students, as well as those who are interested in sponsorship. The celebration will consist of an initial drink and nibbles, followed by a birthday cake, speeches & a special cinema screening of: “Inside Outward Bound, The New Zealand Journey”. 

This 45 minute documentary takes you inside Outward Bound through the eyes of past and present students. The bar will be open for the purchase of further drinks throughout the evening.

 There will be prizes for lucky ticket numbers and a silent auction.  Any extra proceeds will go towards Outward Bound’s Cutter Replacement Fund.

54 Grumpy’s which included their wives and partners, had their night out recently. To qualify to become a Grumpy you must be over the age of 60 although Matt Thomas clearly does not qualify.
