Martinborough
Tewai Karatiana, Tere-Monique Tapa, Joel McNeill and Fabian Sinclair have been chosen as Martinborough School Councillors for 2012. Their first official duty was to line up for their official photo.
Pupils enjoyed a day at Wellington Zoo where they studied how animals adjusted to their environment. A day which left plenty to talk about.
The Community Board has provided the school with a number of Flutter Boards which are already proving their worth.

Kahutara
The teachers thank all the families (33 car loads) who came to Riversdale for the ‘Climate and Beach Education Day’. The children have talked non-stop about the many different aspects of the day and all the things they learnt and enjoyed.
Kahutara School is very passionate about water safety at and before children leave us in Year Eight, we want all our children to be able to look after themselves in and around the water.

St Teresa’s
Seventy children from St Teresa’s attended and provided musical items at the launching of Joy Cowley’s latest book at the ANZAC Hall on Saturday. The book, The Easter Story, is illustrated by Father Don Morrison.
Photo is of this year’s School Councillors, Jess, Brooke and Shay and School Leaders, Eden and Alice with South Wairarapa District Councillor Dean Davies.

Featherston
The Early Birds Breakfast Club is back thanks to John and Eileen Traill’s continuing support and sponsorship from Breadcraft, Fonterra and Sanitarium. Breakfast Club is for all children even just to pop in for a Milo and chat.
