This year’s Friends of Aratoi fundraiser, Little Jewels, promises to be the biggest one since its inception in 2004.

With over 230 canvases sent out over the year, Little Jewels will be moving into a bigger space to accommodate them all, with the exhibition showing in the Main Gallery for the first time in its history.

The exhibition is designed as a fun, eclectic and quirky exhibition, with internationally recognised artists positioned next to amateurs, all mixed in together with the same starting price, meaning an affordable art treasure can be yours.

The works are deliberately unsigned, and this element of surprise adds to the excitement.

This year, Little Jewels will be up for a week before the silent auction for people to come in and have a look beforehand. The silent auction is a ticketed event on Friday, 13 November, and all works sold on the night can be taken away. Each piece starts off at the same price of $150. Any unsold works left over will be displayed in the Aratoi foyer for the starting price and can be taken home straight away.

Tickets for the silent auction will be open to buy from 6 October from Aratoi’s Front desk with proceeds go towards caring for Aratoi’s Collection.

Little Jewels exhibition, Saturday, 7 November  to  Friday, 13 November and Silent Auction, Friday, 13 November.
