Friday, 28th August, marked the final day of operation for Brackenridge Country Retreat & Spa. As we close this very special chapter, we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Brackenridge story over the past 26 years — our local community, wonderful guests, wedding couples, conference groups, retreat organisers, suppliers, supporters and, of course, all the incredible staff who have helped make Brackenridge what it is.
A very special mention to Cathie Morison, whose vision and foresight 26 years ago created this truly special place for the Martinborough community. Thank you also to all the shareholders over the years for your contribution and for helping bring Cathie’s vision to life.
Looking ahead, keep an eye out for updates as the property will begin a new chapter under new ownership and managements. Brackenridge Spa will be closing for a few weeks for major renovations, while Brackenridge Studios will continue to be operated by Discover Wairarapa until early 2027. Brackenridge Estate will also continue to be available to book through Discover Wairarapa, and accommodation can be booked via www.brackenridge.co.nz.
It has been an incredible journey, filled with so many special memories, celebrations, friendships and stories. We feel incredibly grateful to have been part of them all.
