The Martinborough Community Board has begun developing its plan for the current triennium and is inviting the community to help shape local priorities, including input into the Council’s 2027-37 Long-Term Plan.
The Board is tasked with representing and advocating for the views and interests of the local community and maintaining an overview of how the council delivers services within the community.
To support this, the Board will host a series of informal drop-in sessions where the Martinborough community can share their ideas, concerns, and opportunities for improvements across the ward.
At the sessions, a range of topics will be displayed around the room, and attendees will be encouraged to add their comments, suggestions, and ideas directly. There will also be space for people to raise new issues they feel are important. This approach is designed to capture a wide range of community perspectives.
Drop-in sessions will be held at the Town Hall on:
- 15 and 16 July, 5pm – 9pm
- 18 and 19 July, 9am – 5pm
- First Saturday of every month at the Town Hall from 10 to 12pm
Feedback gathered will help inform the Community Board’s planning and recommendations. An online survey will follow. Input will also be sought on ideas developed by the Martinborough Access Resource Reference Group.
The Community Board looks forward to hearing from as many people as possible.
Martinborough multi-use trails
Following the recent meeting in the Town Hall, the Martinborough multi-use trails working group has been established with its first meeting held on 26 May.
Friends of the Trails has also been established and we invite any interested people who were unable to attend the public meeting to join by emailing mcb@swdc.govt.nz.
We will keep you up to date with progress and opportunities to have input and join in the activities of the trails group.
