Caregiving is one of the most rewarding roles a person can have. It’s about far more than practical support – it’s about trust, compassion, and making a meaningful difference in someone’s everyday life. Having quality staff that you can rely on brings peace of mind to families and dignity to those receiving care. Today, we’re delighted to introduce Sarah, one of Home Sweet Home Care’s dedicated carers since our service was established in the Wairarapa in March 2025.
Sarah shares that one of the most fulfilling aspects of her role is the strong individual focus given to every client. “At Home Sweet Home, no two care plans are the same. Each plan and care team is carefully developed to best support the person receiving care. This personalised approach allows us to meet people where they are and provide support that genuinely improves their daily lives. Knowing the care that we provide is thoughtfully designed around each client makes the work feel purposeful.”
Outside of work, Sarah is a mother of two teenage girls and is currently studying to become a Certified Master Health Coach. She says the flexibility of her role has allowed her to balance family life, study, and work successfully. “Home Sweet Home Care has made that balance possible.”
Sarah also values the supportive team culture. “There is a strong emphasis on nurturing staff and encouraging growth both personally and professionally. It’s motivating to work in a place where people genuinely support one another.”
For Sarah, the most rewarding part is knowing the work truly matters. “Every day brings the chance to positively impact someone’s life while being part of a collaborative team. I’m proud to contribute to a service that puts people first.”
