The Martinborough Wine and Food Society

Feb 2026

We chose Moy Hall for our Christmas function in early December. This is a very relaxing place to go in a wonderful setting overlooking the vineyard.

The welcome wine was a pink fizz followed by wines from the wine list. The food is served on small plates to share between people. My personal favourites were the House cured Akaroa salmon gravlax, the House made gnocchi with gorgonzola and sage fonduta and Wairarapa lamb shoulder.

The restaurant prides itself on celebrating seasonal locally sourced produce which reflects the time of year. It is also great, if people in your group have special dietary requirements. Gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian are all well catered for. The food service is outstanding in beautiful surroundings while we enjoyed convivial company.

The Wine and Food Society meet monthly on the second Friday of each month. If you’d like to join us contact Philippa on 021-434-163 or Dave on 027-453-0475.
