By Joelle Thomson Wine Writer Feb 2026

Martinborough wineries are joining their counterparts from the Wairarapa Wine Region at this year’s Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival on Saturday 21 February at The Cliffs, on the banks of the Ruamahanga River.

The festival was founded in 2005 and is held on private property each year. The gates open at 10.30am on the day for an 11am kick off.

Wineries taking part this year include Big Sky Wines, Cambridge Road Vineyard, Colombo Martinborough, Coney Wines, Grava, Nga Pari (formerly Cottier Estate), The Good Way, and Te Hera, along with Gladstone Vineyard, Johner Estate, Le Gra Vineyard, Matahiwi Estate and Urlar.

“Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival is built on the support of businesses that genuinely care about our region and the people in it,” says Nicky Geary, Chair of the Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival.

The MC this year is James Riley, a familiar face and voice at the annual Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival. Live music includes Carl Webley, Mish and Wade Acoustic Duo, The BeatGirls, Vincent Vega and the Hateful Eight and The Relative.

This year’s Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival has a new naming rights sponsor in James Henry Ltd, a Hutt Valley based company, founded in 2006 by Chris Northmore.
