A Happy New Year to everyone from the team here at the Martinborough RSA. Although it is still mid-summer, the team is already making plans for the annual Anzac Day Dawn Service, with details to be published closer to the time.
We have several events before that as well. The Committee will have a stand at the Martinborough Fair, where you can come up and find out more about the services that the RSA provides and how to get involved. If you wish to know more but can’t make either of the Fair dates, then you can contact us at martinborough.rsa@gmail.com.
We will also be starting our Third Thursday social events. As the name suggests, every Third Thursday of the month we will hold either a coffee morning or an evening event, with details to be published on our Facebook site, and email out to our mailing list.
The social aspect of events is one of the key reasons why the Committee has reinvigorated the branch. You don’t need to be an RSA member to come along; camaraderie has always been central to the NZDF philosophy, and that spirit extends to those who support as well as those who serve. Our next event will be an evening social held on Thursday 19th February at Cool Change. We look forward to seeing you there.
