We certainly got off to a great start this month; old friends returning, new people asking, ”How does this work?”, So many clothes having to be displayed, it was a very busy but satisfying time for us all.
I am so glad we started this event as it seems to be a win for everyone including the planet!
But best of all we didn’t have any clothing racks collapse. Up to now, every time there has been at least one that has tipped, broken or simply been so unsteady that we have held our collective breath as we placed another garment on it. Many, have multiple layers of tape holding them together.
Seeing our need, Dinee donated 2 large solid racks to us, absolutely perfect for our Swap. We are all delighted with them and give her our heartfelt thanks.
Next Clothing Swap will be held on Saturday 21st February at St. Andrew’s Church Hall, Dublin St. from 10am -1pm.
