A day not to be missed: Martinborough Fair returns

Feb 2026

The much-loved Martinborough Fair is back, with the February and March fairs (Saturday 7th) promising two unforgettable days of great shopping, food, and community spirit.

Set in the streets radiating out from the Martinborough square, the fair features hundreds of stalls selling everything from handmade crafts and toys to clothing, plants, and an abundance of food, with plenty to see and do. It’s easy to while away an entire day in the carnival-like atmosphere.

Best of all, every purchase supports the local community. Run by the South Wairarapa Rotary Club, all profits from the Martinborough Fairs are returned to the community in the form of charitable grants, tertiary bursaries, community events and projects.

Why not turn your visit to the fair into a weekend? Take some time to rediscover all that the Wairarapa has to offer – Visit the renowned Martinborough wineries, hire bikes in Greytown for the Rail Trail, take a blast into the past at the Cobblestones Museum, enjoy a hike to the Putangirua Pinnacles or spend an unforgettable night stargazing in the Wairarapa Dark Sky Reserve.

Whether you live locally or you’re a visitor from afar, the Martinborough Fair is not to be missed.
