Would you like to be on stage
Participating in the event in the Square that Madcaps is staging following the Martinborough Christmas Parade on Sunday 14th December?
We are planning an event more than just leading the Christmas song sing-a-long. This year we will stage:
- A 30 minute “Wiggles style” production aimed at the kids with a return visit of Marty the Dog.
- 30 minutes of Christmas song sing-a-long being led by a group from Madcaps and the local community choir.
- A 1-hour show featuring a group of soloists performing a selection of high energy non-Christmas songs (solo and group).
- Local covers band Short Circuit rounding off the event.
We are looking for performers.
- Someone to wear the Marty the Dog costume and actively participate throughout the 30-minute performance (some rehearsal required)
- Singers to be part of the group leading the sing-a-long. We will use backing tracks and song sheets (no rehearsals required).
- Soloists to perform in the 1-hour show. We will be using backing tracks and soloists will be asked to sing two or three solo or duet songs of their choice (songs they already know) to minimise learning/rehearsal.

For soloists, we are holding auditions on Tuesday 18th November between 6.30pm and 8.00pm at the Martinborough Bowling Club, 126 Regent Street.
Soloists will be on stage for one hour and must be available for rehearsals 2pm to 5pm on Sunday 23 November and Sunday 30 November.
