Three teenage boys arrived at the Clothing Swap’s St Andrew’s Church Hall venue with some clothes their
mum was donating and asked if they could look around.
“I must admit I was reasonably sure they wouldn’t find anything they liked,” organiser Glenys Hansen said.
But surprise, surprise each one found something they wanted and were astonished to find it was free.
The trio then said, “we need to tell our family to come and look. So when I asked if I could take a photo to send to The Star, with good humour and a little self-consciously, they posed for me,” she added.
The session had a great selection of clothes but was quieter than the previous events. It is going to continue on the third Saturday of every month. Among the goods on offer: a Trelise Cooper skirt that has been donated for anyone who is interested!
Next Swap date: Saturday 19 April at St Andrew’s Hall, Dublin St: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
