Parenting Workshop series starts well

Apr 2025

Families have been embracing a notable lineup of parenting workshops designed to support and empower caregivers. With a strong start to the series, parents have already benefited from insightful sessions like Anxiety and My Child and the Chatterbox Story walk session.

April promises even more valuable learning opportunities. Heartlands is thrilled to welcome Parenting Place to present Raising Resilient Kids. This talk sheds light on the struggles that can hold our kids back, as well as parenting tools to make the most of character-growth moments. Later in the month, Yellow Brick Road will lead a session on Boundaries, guiding parents on how to establish healthy limits for their children in a supportive and constructive way.

Looking ahead to May, we are excited to bring renowned neuroscience educator Nathan Wallis to the Wairarapa. He will be presenting The Teen Brain at the Carterton Events Centre, shedding light on adolescent brain development and providing practical advice for parents navigating teenage years.

These workshops offer an opportunity for parents, caregivers and educators to gain insights, ask questions, and build confidence on their parenting journey. We are grateful to the Tindall Foundation for funding that supports us bringing these speakers at minimal cost for tickets, with some free.
