Four Martinborough houses led the price list for the most expensive properties sold in Wairarapa in 2024.
The region’s six top prices were all upwards of $1.8 million.
The leading home, in Martinborough’s Vintners Lane, headed the price paid list at $3.37 million for its 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 2-car garaging set-up.
The home sits in a park-like 1.94 hectares, with an estimated land value of $810,000.
Ranked second was an Oxford St property sold for $2.6m on the border of the golf course.
Another Oxford St property sold for $2.3 million, is set in landscaped grounds on just 0.63 hectares of land with 4-bedrooms, 2-bathrooms and 3-car garaging.
Fourth on the list was a Shooting Butts Rd, Martinborough property which sold for $2 million _ and is sited on a lifestyle property.
A Wood St property in Featherston raised the fifth highest price of $1.95 million, and featured 2.47 hectares of “fertile land,” while a Matahiwi house on Budd Rd on 4.04 hectares was ranked the sixth most expensive buy_ at $1.88 million.
Paterson and Co agent Kate Pateerson noted that “the region had a newish luxury market that people needed to adjust to.”
