Toy Library

May 2023

Is anybody else missing summer yet? With the weather being so variable you might be looking for options to keep the kids entertained indoors. With this in mind, we have recently invested in a variety of toys that will keep all ages entertained. For the youngest members we have a Vtech activity cube with five interactive sides. Children can learn about animals, nursery rhymes, colours and numbers while they play. Pre-readers will be able to join in the board game fun with two games from the well-renowned Orchard Toys, Jungle Heads & Tails, and Shopping List.

Although they can be played by toddlers, they can help keep kids of different ages busy. We are also very grateful to Shirvana Edmonds and Jesse George for their very generous donation of the Our Generation Palomino Horse. It’s the perfect toy for those who want an accessory for both the original Our Generation dolls, or similar 18-inch models. And of course, we have a wide variety of older toys to cater for all preferences.

In other news, we are looking to reinvigorate our social media. To make it easier to keep up to date with what is going on, you can use the QR codes here to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Follow us to get updates on new toys and upcoming events.

Finally, we would welcome input from our members on what toys they want to see in the library. You can contact us by popping in any Saturday between 10 a.m. and 12 noon, or by emailing us at martytoylibrary@gmail.com.
