After a long spell of lovely warm sunny days, there is now a hint of Autumn with cooler temperatures and shorter days. Although it’s back to “business as usual” for workers and students, some of us continue to be surprised how busy Martinborough continues to be with lots of visitors enjoying the many facilities and attractions our region has to offer.
We very much enjoyed meeting up again with the Rev. Jim Symons and Patty Symons, visiting from California. Jim preached on Sunday 11 February, and the congregation took part in a ceremony to scatter some of Jim’s first wife, Marilyn’s ashes in the garden, and to plant a shrub.
The First Church Country Goodies stall had a very successful day in February, and we are looking forward to the second Fair day at the beginning of March – wondering at the time of writing just what the weather might be like.
