The Mens Shed fundraising Shed Sale took place on Saturday 17th June . The sale was a great success with the good number of early birds passing through getting the best bargains. There were about 170 items, mostly handmade, ranging from furniture and tools to toys. Approximately $1,500 was raised which will be used for various expenses and activities at the Mens Shed on Cork Street.
We would like to thank the Martinborough community for their support, specifically those local business who provided time and resources to ensure the event was a success, and members of the Shed. We plan to build on this success and make the Shed Sale a regular event.
Now that the Shed is regularly “open for business”, members of the community have been stopping by requesting help to repair or build pieces of furniture and other items. Please feel free to stop by and discuss any project that might need help from the men at the Shed. Visitors are always welcome during opening hours; Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am to noon.
