Attention all music lovers! The monthly BBC (Blackboard Concert) has re-established itself in the refurbished Martinborough Lions’ Den and is going well.
Featherston’s Paul Mason is now the organiser and has introduced an interesting evening of 2 halves. First there are two items from each performer or group, followed by a session that has ranged from random duos and general jamming to guest artists.
Last month, Masterton musicians Rob Maunsell and Keith Austin from ‘Grafia Blues Project’ thoroughly entertained the small crowd with several original songs and more. They praised the venue, encouraged the performers and even suggested acquiring some lighting to enhance the evening.
Gold coin donations on the night go towards paying guest artists’ expenses and now possibly purchasing equipment!
There is plenty more talent out there and we would love to see you on the third Thursday of the month at 7.30 at the Martinborough Lions’ Den. Any ‘music appreciators only’ will be warmly welcomed too.
