Liz Hancock has announced her retirement from South Wairarapa Veterinary Services 40 years after her graduation as veterinarian.
Liz moved to Martinborough in 1978 from Canterbury to work at the Martinborough clinic with Ivan Ward when it was Martinborough Veterinary Services. Whilst maintaining her veterinary career here, Liz married John and raised her children in Martinborough on their farm out at Hinakura, and has made significant contributions to the district and to the SWVS practice.
Liz has had a varied and fulfilling veterinary career in Martinborough and throughout the Wairarapa. Her breadth of experience throughout the Wairarapa and knowledge of the region will be missed.
Liz has thoroughly enjoyed her relationships with her clients and their animals be it large or small, something she will miss greatly. With Liz’s involvement in the community, we will still see plenty of her, as we are sure she will remain very busy in her many pursuits outside of vetting.
The team at SWVS wishes Liz all the best in her future endeavours.
