BY JOHN ANSELL
Everybody’s right
And everybody’s wrong
Everybody’s weak
And everybody’s strong
Everybody’s trying
And everybody fails
And everybody’s carriage
Will at some time leave the rails
Everybody’s crying
And everybody grieves
And everybody’s wearing
Their psychoses on their sleeves
Everybody’s happy
And everyone’s in pain
And nobody’s as crazy
As the one who thinks she’s sane
Everybody’s struggling
Sometimes just to live
And no one does it harder
Than the one who won’t forgive
Everybody’s broken
And everyone’s a mess
But no one’s as tormented
As the one who won’t confess
Yes, everybody’s weak
And everybody’s strong
And everybody’s body
Wasn’t built to last too long
So everybody’s trying
Their hardest to survive
Yet everybody’s dying
We don’t make it out alive
Everybody’s warm of heart
And everybody’s not
But nobody is colder
Than the one who thinks she’s hot
Everybody wants to win
But everybody can’t
Cos everybody’s broken
Specially those who know they aren’t
Everybody’s broken
It’s the one unbroken rule
He who claims to be unbroken
Is everybody’s fool
Everyone’s a sinner
And everyone’s a saint
And everyone’s a mirror
So be careful who you paint
Everybody’s wounded
But it’s time we all were healed
For we all swing the sword
And we all hold the shield
Nobody goes walking
In his father’s shoes
Everybody’s broken
But we still are free to choose
Everybody’s broken
And everybody’s blind
Yet everybody cruel
Has the power to be kind
Everybody’s broken
But who can you attack
When every pointing finger
Comes with three more pointing back?
