On the evening of Friday 8th April, DOT Kids held an Art Exhibition featuring children’s artwork, based on ‘Our Natural World’ – continuing to encourage children to learn about their world by looking closely and expressing their findings in what is called observational art.
‘Our Natural World’ displayed a variety of artwork from paintings, drawings, sculpture, collage and photography, mainly based on the children’s observations of the world around them; truly inspirational work.
Many of the children brought artefacts and treasures from their homes to copy, and all children, even the babies and toddlers had their creations displayed.
Carolyn Irwin, a parent, had this to say about the exhibition: “Thank you for such a wonderful art exhibition. Both children and parents were excited by what was achieved. You put in such a wonderful effort and it was so lovely to see all those proud and excited little faces. Well done and thank you DOT Kids!”
