The drizzle did little to dampen the numbers who came out to support the finalists on Saturday for the Club Championships. The nine hole Womens B Division was won by Katrina Burgess who is just new to the Club against season finalist Nita Edwards. The Nine hole Championship was won again this year by Honor Clark who is touted to be moving back to 18 hole membership in 2016.

It was the young guns  who emerged as the winners this year in the ladies’ Championships. The Bronze B
was won by Robyn Blackett on the 29th hole, the damp conditions did little to affect her game against Alice Forward,  not straying from the mown areas.

Carol Parkinson fresh back from competing in the national Squash tournament had to keep her mind focused until her putt dropped on the 35th hole to retain her title against Jane Terpstra, while in the Silvers, Pip Kirk played a near faultless round in the morning to make the task all the more
difficult for her opponent Kris Chamberlain, who fought all the way to stay in the game until the 30th hole.

Ro Griffith won the men’s Junior title from Greg Dalton, with both having trouble locating the little white ball in the rough. Bill Jones just too sharp for Griff Page winning the Vets, while the youth prevailed in the Seniors that saw Sheldon Mc Namara ranked 17th in the Club take the title on the 33rd hole from Malcolm Wood. Congratulations to all the finalists and our winners for 2015.
