Martinborough Ladies Hockey entered one team in the Wairarapa Women’s Hockey Competition this year. The team played very well this season, having a number of wins and making it to the semi-finals. We finished a respectful third in the grade. Well done girls!
We also ran a very successful raffle again this year. 1st prize, which was two tickets to the All Blacks verses South Africa Rugby test in Wellington, was won by A Evans of Martinborough. 2nd prize, a Family Pass to the 4 Nations Rugby League Final in Wellington, was won by Allan Butler of Carterton. 3rd prize, $50 worth of scratchies, was won by Shane and Clare Graves of Stix Cafe at the Clareville Hockey Complex. Well done to all the winners, and a big thank-you to all those that supported the club by buying tickets in this raffle.
We now look forward to another infamous end of season wind-up and prize-giving (date to be confirmed), and to the 2015 season.
