Knitters’ Annual Blanket display

July 2014

We are proud to show local folk the fantastic work our Featherston, Martinborough knitters and the knitters fro the wider Wairarapa area have done for the Mission Without Borders (Operation Coverup) before the finished articles are packed ready for shipment overseas.

Mission Without Borders is an International Organisation, founded in 1960, dedicated to serving the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those suffering the effects of poverty or persecution in Eastern Europe.

Featherston Knitters meet on the first Thursday of every month from 10 – 12 at St Andrews Featherston. If you are keen to join the group feel free to come along for friendship and a cuppa.

For information on the Martinborough group please contact Barbara Cox 3069 934

The Martinborough Knitters will be showing their items in the St Andrew’s Hall Dublin Street on Saturday 27th July from 1.30 to 3.30 pm

The Featherston Knitter’s display will be at St Andrew’s Featherston on Wednesday 6th August between 11 am and 4 pm

A gold coin donation at the door to help with freight costs would be appreciated.

One of the knitted blankets is presently being raffled at Pain and Kershaw’s to raise funds to purchase more wool for the knitters.
