At 7:30am on April 26th, a lovey crisp day in Masterton, South Wairarapa Rotary met with other Wairarapa Rotary clubs at Henley Men’s Shed (another project initiated by and receiving ongoing support from Rotary) to provide organisational support to Outward Bound’s “Fun Run” around Henley Lake.
This event was a fund-raiser for Outward Bound, but it also helped raise their profile in our community. Attendees of Outward Bound courses get to explore their hidden depths of character, in a safe and fun-filled environment; and, after the fun run, guest speakers related entertaining stories of their experiences on Outward Bound courses.
The community, in all its various shapes and sizes, ages and ethnicities, turned up to take part in this event, which proved to be a resounding success. South Wairarapa Rotary is proud to support this wonderful organisation.
