The Pirinoa School swimming sports marked the official reopening of the school pool following an upgrade thanks to the commitment of the wider South Wairarapa community.
The project included lining and painting the changing sheds interior and exterior. A new fence to take in a grassed area allowing room for spectators, a toilet and a shingled picnic area complete with shade sails. The conversion of the old foot bath to a paddling pool and new concrete path surrounds. The painting of the pool including a mural by the children.
A big thank you must go to all the businesses and individuals that supported WOT NOT TO WEAR in August last year at the Martinborough Town Hall a great night was had by all. To all the individuals and companies that donated time, machinery and expertise to complete the project.
The children are very proud of the facility and have enjoyed a long seasons swimming, all achieving significant milestones in their swimming endeavours
