In spite of some performers having been involved with MADCAPs’ rehearsals on a Thursday night, numbers have been very encouraging with new talent coming from Featherston as well as locally.
In April, locals David Harris (aka ‘Sam’ Ayres) debuted with some of his hilarious rural flavoured poetry and Greg Dalton impressed everyone with his easy listening guitar and vocals.
Concerts in May will be on Thurs 8th and 22nd; performers can get their names in from 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
Jerry from the Martinborough Hotel has suggested that the Blackboard Concert (open mic) alternate with the successful fortnightly Quiz Evenings in the foreseeable future.
