The middle weekend of the school hols is ANZAC weekend, with ANZAC Day being on a Friday this year, so what better time to get out the bikes, hit the unbeaten tracks, have fun and help the local community all at the same time?
“Registrations are filling fast for the Martinborough Skyline Challenge mountain bike ride,” says Event Publicist Lee Quayle. “There are three rides – with grades for everyone from short and easy to full-on Grade 3 magic. All on open, undulating farmland just out of town. There’s even a track for anyone just wanting a walk in the country.”
If you are interested, or you might be interested, or your friend might be interested, stop reading now (you can come back to finish the STAR later), go to www.martinboroughskylinechallenge.co.nz fill in a registration form and get ready to get out there at ANZAC. “There’s heaps of information, including maps and photos, on the website, it’s definitely the place to find out more,” says Lee.
