We are drawing to the end of another busy year at Martinborough Playcentre. We are currently running sessions three mornings a week, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. These sessions are being well attended, but we always have room for more families. The Playcentre philosophy is “parents as first teachers”, and Martinborough Playcentre provides a wonderful environment for parents to play and have fun with their children. We have fabulous resources to play with, and our parents all chip in to teach and guide our children through their early years. Our philosophy is that it takes a village to raise a child and we just love seeing all our children flourish in this family environment.
We have recently held our AGM, and sincerely thank Marise Rozing, our out-going President for all her work and enthusiasm over the past few years. We welcome Rachel Millar and Honor Clark as our new Co-Presidents. Rachel has valuable experience from being involved in another centre and Honor has a lot of local knowledge, having been involved in Martinborough Playcentre for 9 years.
Once again this year we ran a successful fundraiser at Toast Martinborough. A huge thank-you to all
those involved, and particularly Keily Marshall for her organisation.
This years Christmas Party will be held on Monday 9th December between 10-12. This is open to all Playcentre families, and it would be great to see as many of our Playcentre whanu there as possible.
If you are interested in coming to Martinborough Playcentre or just what to come along and find out what we are all about, please bring your child along, we would love to meet you.
