Kahutara School’s maths team of Dan Graham, Danielle Rose and Rebecca Rose were winners of the Year 5/6 section at this year’s Matharapa.
Matharapa is a keenly competed annual Wairarapa Primary School mathematics competition with all schools vying for the top prizes. The competition is a team format which covers all aspects of mathematics from mental arithmetic to team problem solving. To win teams have to have maths abilities over all aspects – which the Kahutara team proved to have. The photo is of Dan, Danielle and Rose with Mayor Adrienne Staples at the presentation.
