New handcraft group (any type of handcraft welcome) starting Tuesday 2nd April 1.30pm. This will be a weekly group and afternoon tea will be provided.
The residents enjoyed the lovely warm weather with a visit to the golf club for lunch. Thank you to the Women’s Auxiliary for organising this outing.
Thank you to the cake Decorators guild for coming in to decorate Easter eggs with the residents.
We would like to start up a mans shed at Wharekaka we are looking for volunteers and donations of tools to help our residents (male and female) get this project off the ground!!!
Volunteers are always welcome at Wharekaka – would you have an hour spare a week to come in and read the daily newspaper to residents, or maybe you have been on an exciting holiday and would like to show residents your holiday photos – we would love to hear from you.
