Many people will be sorry to hear that ‘It’s Quite Cool’ will be closing permanently on Monday, March 25th. Karen Gordy said that she and partner, Steve Baker are very sad that their dream has come to an end, but are thrilled to have had the opportunity to create the business at all.
“We have made wonderful friendships and memories”, she said “and we sincerely thank all who made this possible and the marvelous local support we have received“.
However to be viable the business also depended on the tourist trade and so, out of necessity, the shop had to have a high profile site – which also means high rent. While Steve and Karen have done their best to afford the space, with such a seasonal product there proved to be just not enough income to warrant continuing.
