Adair Davies painting the Weather Station opposite the hotel at Lake Ferry. Pirinoa School ran a drawing competition and the winning pictures are being beautifully reproduced onto what was once a bit of an Eyesore. It looks awesome.
As you will have noticed, the Star is regularly enhanced by one of Gordon’s photos. Gordon ‘da mailman’ is the Feathertson RD2 mail contractor whose territory covers the lower valley, Lake Ferry and coast. With an unerring eye for the good shot he always has his camera on hand to record any unusual or beautiful scene which catches is eye.
Late each year he chooses what he considers to be the twelve best shots and has a calendar featuring them produced. The calendars are on sale in December.
