Enjoy a fabulous day out with friends in the picturesque Martinborough exploring some of the more remarkable homes and gardens in the town and country. All our properties have interesting stories to tell and we have designed this tour to cover a wide range of different homes and gardens. Victoria Read and Michael McKay have designed the new homes amongst the selection of properties open for you to appreciate, and there is also an architecturally converted barn. In contrast to this there are some grand old country homes and established gardens which have stood for generations.
Cost per ticket is $55, and the homes and gardens will be open from 9:30am until 5:00pm with no entry to venues after 4:30 pm. The tour’s brochure with a map and an ID bracelet will be available on the day at our registration venue: St Andrew’s Church Hall, Dublin Street, Martinborough – just bring along your copy of your iTICKET. Some further tickets will be available for sale on the day.
Martinborough has a wide selection of vineyards and cafes to enjoy a scrumptious lunch and a glass of one of our delicious local wines in the village and out in the country as you tour around, and morning tea will be available at St Andrew’s Church Hall when you register.
Profits from this Home and Garden Tour will go towards: ‘Ears for Emily’, a trust set up to raise funds for a second cochlear implant for local toddler, Emily Robinson. The Wairarapa Children’s Trust, fundraising for Wairarapa children with significant medical needs.
