After recently retiring from the NZ Symphony Orchestra, Vicki Jones (yes she’s the one with the colourful hair!) is keen to share her passion for all kinds of music by forming a community choir in Martinborough.
The main focus is to have fun while learning a wide variety of songs to cater for all tastes and abilities. Anything from classical harmonies to tunes with ukuleles could be on the agenda and interest is invited from shower singers to those accustomed to performing in public. The only criteria will be an enjoyment of group singing and a willingness to entertain others.
At this stage it is proposed that practices will be held at Vicki’s home in Martinborough on a weeknight that suits most people (either Mon, Tues or Thurs). No performance is planned until next year.
A ukulele group practice could be held beforehand for those interested.
